the basics:
Join us for a weekend of fun, sun (maybe, Tofino is a rainforest after all), waves, and good times with rad women! This Classic Surf Weekend is open to anyone with any level of experience! Whether you are brand new to surfing and are looking to make your debut on the waves, or whether you’re comfortable and confident in the water and are just looking for a crew of supportive women to progress with, there is something for everyone!

The surf lesson was awesome and helped me get comfortable in the water, and all the other participants were so fun and kind! Dinners every night were amazing - the organizers really put a lot of effort into them, and it shows. They even accommodated everyone’s dietary preferences. What we provide:
- 3 nights camping (shared sites) at Surf Grove.

what you provide:
- Camping Gear

- Transport to/from/around Tofino (we will connect you with other surfers and facilitate ride-sharing, but you’re ultimately responsible for your own transport)
- Surf Gear (unless renting, see below for more info)

trip layout:
Day 1: Meet at Surf Grove around 5pm. Set up from 5pm to 7pm. Dinner and orientation to begin at ~7pm
Day 2: Surf Lesson with Surf Sister in the morning, afternoon surf (optional), group dinner
Day 3: In-water photography surf session*, afternoon surf (optional), group dinner
Day 4: Morning surf, check-out of campsite at 11am
*please note: the in-water photography session date and time may vary based on photographer availability and conditions.

Rental program
No surf gear? No problem. For an additional fee we are more than happy to organize rentals on your behalf!
If you’re renting gear, we typically take advantage of the rentals that are included with your lesson from Surf Sister. Following your lesson on the first morning we will pick up your rentals and then you’ll have them until after your surf on the final morning.

Who is this experience for?
Whether it is your first time in the white wash or you are a seasoned pro in the tube, our classic surf weekends are open to any surfer of any skill level.
We divide the group for lessons based on experience, so you’ll be getting surf instruction tailored to where you’re at in your surf progression.
All participants must be 19+ and must be strong swimmers and comfortable swimming in variable ocean conditions. This includes, big waves, strong currents, and rips. Participants must have swimming endurance and be able to hold their breath for a reasonable period in order to participate.
