BITCHES AND BARRELS PACKING LIST 

You’re coming to camp and surf in Tofino! Hooray! But what should you bring? Below is a detailed packing list for everything you will need to enjoy four days and three nights of fun times by the ocean!

Surf gear:

  • Wetsuit — 5/4 or 4/3 (summer only).

  • Booties

  • Gloves — optional in summer, but nice to have as a backup.

  • Surfboard — if you are not sure what you need, chances are you should lean towards a learner board. 9’-10’ soft-tops (aka: confidence builders) are wicked boards to progress on.

  • Bag or plastic tote for your wet wetsuit.

  • Leash

  • Cold Water Wax (for non-soft tops).

  • Fin(s) and fin key

  • Sunscreen/zinc

CAMPING GEAR:

  • Tent (1-2 person tents are preferred as sites are shared)

  • Tarp and Rope

  • Sleeping Bag

  • Sleeping Pad

  • Pillow

  • Ear Plugs - Sites are shared and Surf Grove is a busy campground. If you’re sensitive to noise when sleeping, we recommend packing a pair of ear plugs.

  • Rain Gear — Tofino is in the rainforest. Even if the forecast seems promising, we recommend packing rain gear

  • Warm Clothes — even in the summer Tofino typically does not get insanely hot. The winds also pick up in the afternoon, so it is a good idea to prepare for cooler afternoons/evenings.

  • Headlamp

  • Stove/Cooking Gear — You will be responsible for your own breakfasts/lunches/snacks, so if you are going to be cooking/heating up food, please remember your stove, pots, pans, and fuel.

  • Plate, Bowl, and Cutlery — So you can enjoy our delicious dinners!

  • Dish Soap and Sponge - So you can clean your dishes after our delicious dinners.

Life gear:

  • Camera

  • Book

  • Water Bottle

  • Towel for changing/hanging out on the beach

  • Growler — Tofino Brewing Co. is incredible and just down the road (but if you are going to drink, please drink responsibly!)

  • Travel Mug — Rhino Coffee House, The Tofino Coffee Roasting Company, The Tofitian, and Common Loaf are all worth a visit, but please remember your reusable coffee mug!

  • Good Shoes — there are some neat hikes/walks around the area, but please bring running shoes/hikers in order to participate
